Leonardo da Vinci

We took the kids to the Library on the weekend as Joshua needed to do some research on Dreamtime creation myths for a school project. While browsing down the shelves (Dewey Decimal, of course) I came upon volume two of a set called The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci (this link is the closest I could find). The one I borrowed was first published in 1956 and it is a 1970 edition).

It is amazing to read Leonardo's thoughts and see the small details of the ideas in his head. The few illustrations are not lavish but you can follow the link below for visual gratification.

If you are ever in Milan, you should plan to spend the day at the National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci. You will feel intellectually inadequate in comparison to a man who died nearly 500 years ago - it's great!
